FAQ's - Frequently Asked Questions.
1.
Asked by someone
travelling abroad doing voluntary work with painting, ground
level & low level ladders.
Regarding your question re 'Non-Manuel work' on page 25 of the
policy.
Page 25 of the 2009 Policy booklet states that 'Non-Manual Work' is
covered.
Clarification of this statement given by
Anthony Kaye of Campbell Irvine at 1720 hrs 13th January 2009
Quote 'Insurers deem manual work to constitute or consist of
working within your normal occupation duties for financial
reward often involving the use of specialist equipment. That you
are doing volunteer work outside of your normal occupation
duties without use of specialist equipment would constitute
manual work and you are covered under the standard terms of the
policy.

Re - FOREIGN OFFICE TRAVEL ADVICE-
The following clause '2' is an extract from
our 'Booking Information' information details on our web site.
'There are times when it is very difficult for Travel Agents to
advise a client as to when and how safe it is to travel to foreign
countries, especially when a country is faced with a sudden
disaster, terrorist activity or a major health problem. There are
occasions when some Airlines will continue to fly, when others will
not. We feel that simply because an Airline chooses to continue
flying to a destination, under one of the above threats, this should
not be taken as a guarantee that the country is a safe destination.
Our advice is to contact the TRAVEL ADVICE UNIT attached to the
FOREIGN OFFICE in London. They operate 24 hrs, 7 days a week.
